Comment: I went to this restaurant today with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is a hidden gem and we were pleasantly surprised by how great the food was. I've had minced chicken and corn soup before but this was by far the best I've had. The size of the soup was enough for 4 servings. I ordered sweet and sour pork with rice and could tell right away the chicken had been marinated - as in they took time to cook that bad boy, which is why I was even more amazed that the wait time was so short. I can't remember what my friend ordered but essentially it was pork, potatoes, and rice. We sampled each others food and ended up going for seconds from each others share hahahah. Nah man, I had to write a solid review to big-up this place. My friend and I definitely plan on returning with more friends!

Comment: I mean, generally speaking, if the fried rice is kinda "meh" then what can you expect from the rest? I consider fried rice to be one of the staples of Chinese cuisine and if you don't bother putting any soy sauce in it and the rice is only lightly tossed in a wok and comes out looking really just like wet steamed rice then it might give me the impression that the rest of the menu is treated with a similar level of casual disregard.

Review for the restaurant: I used to work on Queen st and this was my favourite place to go for lunch. Workers are lovely, one time they let me use their bathroom. Good food and reasonably priced!

Review for the restaurant: Everytime I get D19. thick noodle vegetarian the broth is so good. The tofu slices have cured me of all illness. For $14 this is one of the best meals in Auckland CBD.

Review for the restaurant: Lovely restaurant. Cute cats surround the old Monestry, with lovely art filling the halls. Great service, the meals were a little bit underwhelming but the desserts were great. Loved the chocolate bar. Oh and the fish was good too.

Review for the restaurant: Bad customer service, no kids menu and prohibited my kid from eater her small food portion despite a group of 8 adults eating at their restaurant. A little discretion on a quiet Tuesday wasn't too much to ask, we just left and ate elsewhere. What a shame!

Review for the restaurant: I have been a customer for over 33 years lol Tui and her team make the best Vietnamese/French/Kiwi fusion baked goods in New Zealand. In the early days they had everything. Their cakes are second to none. Their pies are to absolutely live for and the coffee is superb! Thank you Tui and the team. Please go and sample their delicious morsels, you will be pleased you did. Love from Haren, Fellini, Cim, Nise and Mary X See you next time i am in Auckland.
