Comment: Busy place even on weekdays primarily because the food is good and serving size is great. Had the smoked salmon pizza. I was surprised with the amount of salmon and cheese they put on top of the pizza. Also had the humongous lamb shank. Kept coming back for that. Better make reservations before coming over.

Comment: Visited today with my little toddler and what an awesome service we got! Not easy going to busy restaurants during lunch hours with a hungry kid but the staff at Archie's is superb and made the experience very enjoyable! They made us feel welcomed immediately, set up the high chair for baby and were very attentive the whole time, even gave baby a free banana (I think the owner himself was the one who served us). Our order came in very quickly which was great. Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and tested just like the most beautiful dish you get in Italy. Nice big portions too. This is easily the most authentic Italian restaurant in Auckland. Loved every second of our time in Archie's and looking forward to visiting again with the whole family. Highly recommended!

Comment: This restaurant is so nice, the food is delicious and the service is great! The staff are so personable and really make you feel welcome :) I went in today to get a pizza with a friend, I ordered a drink while I was waiting and one of the staff gave my friend a glass of complimentry orange juice. It was a small gesture but really made the difference as it showed that they pay attention to their customers and try to provide great service. Will definitely be coming here again. Both for the amazing pizza, and kind staff!

Comment: Had an amazing very authentic Italian dining experience with my two daughters. Staff very attentive and knowledgeable with menu and Italian wine suggestions. The Chianti was beautiful! Recommend the mixed breads as entree, girls had lovey big pizzas and I had the best vegetarian tortellini I think I’ve ever had.
Cozy indoors, not too noisy to enjoy conversation and the bill was pleasant surprise for the quality and dining experience.

Comment: Honestly, it's a nice place. Pepperoni was okay, we would prefer a better quality one. Also, please be careful with the olives. I was hungry and kinda bit into my pizza very aggressively, without realizing the olives had stones inside. Thank God for strong teeth. According to my Italian partner, that's always the case with pizza in Italy, so it's not really their fault. The Daiquiri cocktail was lovely, and we also had a chicken salad, which was quite nice. The staff was kind and lovely, albeit a bit stressed out.

Comment: Went for a birthday dinner, Amazing food & service while eating here. I would definitely go back! They did miss one of the food orders but made up for it, and took responsibility for it very well. I was super happy with how the evening went there. Everyone was very nice.

Comment: Average customer service, disappointing wood fired pizza. The crust is more thin and crispy rather than the blistered and airy type. Bought 10 candles for a birthday cake, they used one and never gave back the rest of them - lost apparently. Waitress was on her phone while I was trying to ask for service. Would not recommend

Comment: Awesome service. Staff was very friendly. Food tasted good too. Ordered a pizza, a risotto and a tuto mare pasta. All tasted really authentic. Kids also get a pizza dough to shape their own pizza which can then be passed to the pizza chef to go into the pizza oven. Price is also exceptionally reasonable and food portion is very generous. Highly recommended.
