Comment: I have recently moved to this area and have driven past Tipenes several times thinking...I must stop in and take a look. Best decision I ever made! ?? Ordered a beef burger, fries and a pineapple lumps milkshake...that milkshake is next level bro! ? The fries are so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside...exactly how fries should be ? The burger was fresh and so tasty ? If you haven't been to this joint, put it on your bucket list peeps ? Dangerous though, because I have to drive past here every day might cause me to stop in again...and again...and again ?? Cheers for the yarn too Tipene's dad!?

Comment: I never expected such quality fish and wonderfully crspy chips when I saw the shop, and yet they delivered one of the best fish and chips I have eaten in Auckland. You know their fish is fresh when they have cod, which I can't find for the life of me in stores and shops. Part of me suspects the people who gave low reviews were trying to keep this place hidden from the public, which I may or may not have considered myself...

Comment: If you've ever wondered why Jacinda Ardern's electorate office is in the middle of nowhere, proximity to Tipene's Takeaways is the only logical answer. It's amazing. The batter is light and crispy, the portions are generous and every chip is perfect. You can even, depending on your politics, go tell the Prime Minister how amazing or terrible she is while you wait for your dinner. Best day ever

Comment: Just got home opened my box I was blown away as to the size of the portions I had gurnard it was cross on the outside and juicy and tender inside. To die for. Great friendly service. And a great setting. I highly recommend everyone to go there. I am not local. Up from wanganui.

Comment: The best fish and chip shop I know of in 61 years of eating takeaways. I am a discerning customer. My highest recommendation. Made Managed Isolation (MIQ) a pleasure for only $200 of their finest product over 2 weeks. I have continued to purchase since I got home too.

Comment: Best fish and chips I have found in Auckland. I have been here four times and every item I have bought has had good quality ingredients and has been cooked perfectly. I highly recommend to anyone! Fair price and friendly service. This will be my regular go to for takeaways now!

Review for the restaurant: Lovely restaurant. Cute cats surround the old Monestry, with lovely art filling the halls. Great service, the meals were a little bit underwhelming but the desserts were great. Loved the chocolate bar. Oh and the fish was good too.
