Comment: Highly recommended. Great food. Huge servings for a very reasonable price. For the food we ordered, which was quite plenty, the bill cost us about 100nzd. They gave us 10nzd coupon for it that we can use on our next meal with them. Looking forward to our next visit to this place.

Comment: Patchy at best. First time was ok, second time not so good. Third time, Peking duck pancakes dry like paper, ribs actually just rib, only bone, steamed blue cod puffy empty floss. Good for lunch, maybe, sometimes. Place to avoid overall.

Comment: I have been wanting to review this restaurant for quite sometime. I recently went there for dinner ? but my experience compelled me to write this review today. This was my second visit, while the food is relatively good, what ticked me off is the customer service.
The incident: The young lady with specs ?who serviced me both the times, looked visibly unhappy(no smile at all!), was sloppy(banged both the menu and the food while serving me) and zero customer service ( Had to literally ask for my tea thrice?)
At first, I thought she was doing this only to me, but to my surprise she did this to the adjacent table too.
A special note to the Manager of the restaurant, please train or hire front of staff to SMILE at your customer or treat the customer with some courtesy. Though I strongly believe in supporting local business, the least I expect from the local business is basic customer service!
At the end of the day, no matter how delicious your food may be, your customers will remember an overall dining experience.
Food can’t talk, but your front of house staff can. Their job is to make the customer remember your restaurant with exceptional service and in return get value for their hard earned money.

Comment: Easy access location. I usually temporary park across the road for some takeaways after the spa sauna. go home eat Netflix and chill.

Comment: BBQ Duck Cafe, Rutland St gave us this $10 gift voucher to thank us for spending so much on dinner.
We just returned & tried to redeem it while we spent more money with them and they would not accept it and said it was not valid.
Very strange customer service.
They just turned their promotion into a demotion of their brand.
The food is ok but the service is pretty shabby.
There are so many better restaurants offering this style of cusine in Auckland.
I'm taking my hard earned cash to a more deserving team.

Comment: Very centralized location, delicious BBQ meat with rice and a bowl of soup. Served very quickly. The waiter was nice. The hot soup was served immediately, it was nice to smooth my throat before my meal. I order 3 combinations of BBQ meat: crispy pork, honey pork and roasted duck. They gave me a whole duck drum stick. There were soy sauce on the table you can add on the BBQ meat! Yummy! I couldn’t wait before I took a photo.

Comment: One of my favorite place in Auckland, the food is delicious and very money-valuable.
Of course the best here is the Peking Duck who has an amazing taste!
The menu is big and you have heaps of choices of very good food!

Comment: This is a great place from their service to their Chinese BBQ standard! The two waitress are the soul in this restaurant, very welcoming and happy! The portion of food was satisfied and taste was great! Price was reasonable $16 - $20 for one I have returned for the second time! and I will definitely go back when I miss Chinese BBQ. Keep up with your good job!
