Comment: Lovely location, dear I say I have enjoyed far too many meals.
But, staff and location bring me back.
The saddle of lamb was my choice, but it was a little more aged than I wished, none the less little was left lol.
Our waitress was so attentive, she was left with a heart felt tip.

Comment: Unassuming restaurant at the ferry terminal with an incredible menu of decadent meat and seafood options. Highlight was the beef short rib with a sweet smoky glaze. The meat was pure, tender, melt-in-your-mouth decadence. I also enjoyed the humble macadamia loaf with an incredible spread of butters. We tried the bone marrow truffle butter (not pictured), which had a beautiful unctuous texture. The beef tartare was rich and well accompanied by an assortment of pickles. The Caprese salad served as a light break from the decadence. The creamy mozzarella was fresh and the right temperature to bring out its subtle flavour. Lovely service by our bubbly, friendly waitress.

Comment: Settings is good. View is fantastic. Depending on what you order, the quality and taste differs. 2yrs ago, had the prawns and unfortunately there is nothing to shout about. This time, I had the steak (fabulous taste but could do with just a tad less salt). Cheese platter desert is not recommended. Yellowfin tuna entrée good. And be prepare to wait before food arrives especially if you are going in a group!

Comment: Oh man, where do I start!? This is one of the nicest restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting in Auckland. The staff is well trained and friendly. The food is incredible, not pretentious at all, the servings are decent and everything is prepared really well. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the visible wine cellar is a great visual element.
The only criticism I have is that they could have a bigger selection of South African wine available and could offer something on the menu from Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia or even South Africa, with a name like Botswana Butchery you'd expect maize porridge or another traditional side on the menu.
Will be back, over and over!

Comment: The idea of a butchery in Southern Africa isn't exactly appetising, but lunch at Botswana Butchery was very nice indeed. We didn't delve into the full meat selection but my whitebait served in a skillet with chilli was delicious, even if I did burn myself on the handle. Our waitress was excellent and the service is friendly and attentive without being over the top.

Comment: We have now visited twice and loved every visit. The food is outstanding and the service is always with a smile. On our last visit the kitchen staff did and brilliant job of surprising my partner with a small birthday note on his plate. The best part is I asked about this when I booked the table weeks in advance.

Comment: It is always pleasant to go there. Staffs are all professional. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. Ordered steak Medium but came in well done. So the manager and waiter and some other person came to us apologized 3 times i felt really well looked after. Beautiful service it could have been terrible night for my husband Bday but they did the right thing. So thank you
