Comment: Awesome cafe. The food is to die for and service is excellent.
I usually stop in for my fav Pain su Chocolat on my way to work from an appointment nearby. Light, crispy and buttery with a quality dark chocolate inside.
This day I had a sit down breakfast with a couple of friends. The Ancient Grains Porridge with cardamom pear and a side pottle of cashew cream arrived in the small cast iron pan in which it had been cooked, topped with toasted coconut. It looked delicious and tasted even better. Mouthwatering and very filling., it kept me going for the day. You can't go past this place.

Comment: As a Portuguese expat in New Zealand, I obviously had to taste the Portuguese tarts on display in the cabinet. I was impressed with their quality, but did find the dough was not as light and crispy as back home. Still good, nonetheless! The coffee is delicious and note that if you order a large flat white, you get it in a bowl! For the main, I had the crispy corn fritters and boy was I impressed! Don't be fooled by the photo where all you see is the scrumptious scrambled eggs. The fritters underneath managed to stay crisp all the way through to my last bite. The middle Eastern flavors were the icing on the cake. In addition, for a full house, the service sure was not delayed and was done with a smile on their faces. Well done!

Comment: I purchased the baking staff (pastries and bread) from the Whangaparaoa bakery. Everything is incredibly delicious. The best European style bakery in whole Hibiscus coast. Eventually we have quality bakery in this area.

Comment: Great bakery and coffee. Cafe is spacious with great atmosphere. They also have a stall at Grey Lynn's Sunday market with slightly lower price compared to the cafe.

Comment: Cut-off mid-sentence as I was giving the order, by salesperson who decided picking up the phone was more important than serving the customer in front of her.
Cinnamon roll underwhelming.

Comment: Had a very pleasant lunch here, food was good, an interesting and unusual menu. Coffee was good, food was good. The cinnamon pastry was pretty good, but would have been better heated. We both bought things to take home as well.

Comment: This is one of our favourite cafes! Although the menu changes seasonally, the food is always great. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the coffee is great. Part of the same group as Melba, B & B is worth the drive and the money.
There’s also fresh bread and baked goods available in the cabinet.
Personal recommendation: try the house hash brown!

Comment: This is our go to bakery and their bread is incredible. Highly recommend it. They also stock a great range of takeaway sandwiches and pastries. Perfect for a to take out bite and whilst we haven't dined in, the food always looks amazing. We are here weekly!
