Definitely a "okay" category to me. Not very impressive, however, fair enough. I lived in Chongqing once and visited Chengdu many times. I guess I can speak with that experience. The calculation of the bamboo sticks sounds inexpensive, but you are only surprised when you get the bill. Once in a blue moon, fine.

Hidden gem on Dominion Road. It's basically a cook your skewer in hotpot. Easier to pace your eating here because of the skewers. Friendly staff. Hotpot broth very nice.

This place used to be a failing Thai rest called Tusk. Lots of reviews were referring to such which is irrelevant at present. We hence took a visit, steamboat is serving. Choices were not a lot. Pricing wise on the upper end. The owner was on TV during the first Covid lockdown when the business was heavily impacted. Will we come back again? Prob no, as there are plenty of other choices next door.

Delicious! This was our first time having Szechuan hotpot and we loved it. The staff were very lovely and helpful in explaining how it all worked to us as well. A very enjoyable way to eat out and super tasty!

Had an amazing evening at Tusk. Food was delicious and nutritious with good potions. Service was good great and we're able to accommodate big numbers within short notice. Food is worth spending.

The interior was nice but did not like the food at all. It may be the dishes ( spring rolls were over cooked so hard to chew, batter king prawns were battered heavily, beef was chewy, massman seasoning was not seasoned well) the food was missing the authentic flavors. Been to a number of thai restaurants and would not be returning. However, work vegetables was very nice and it was good as it had a baby chair. Wait staff was awesome and helpful!
