Comment: We've been wanting to try this place for ages because of all the good reviews. We finally went last 12Jun only to find out that they had a different menu for lunch and all the things we wanted to order were dinner items. That was fine though as some places do that. I ordered the chicken piadina wrap and it was just very bland, the chicken wasn't seasoned at all. My friend ordered the carbonara and it came out looking like scrambled egg pasta, not sure if it was meant to be like that but my friend did not finish it as she said it did not taste good at all. We also ordered pizza to share and it was like leftover pizza and it wasn't even served warm or freshly made. The staff were really nice though and had no complaints with the service. I was just really disappointed with the food as I was very excited to try this place.

Comment: Cute cafe! I had my birthday brunch here. The food is nice and there are lots of vegetarian options. The portions are on the smaller side but it's tasty. I'd recommend the French toast and mead.

Comment: Named after the mythical twins that were suckled by a she-wolf before founding the Italian capital, new West Lynn opening Romulus and Remus was inspired by ancient and contemporary Rome — but there's definitely some Kiwi in there too. When we went for breakfast on a sunny Saturday morning, they were playing some Fat Freddy's Drop and there was a casual yet friendly vibe about the place.

Comment: Excellent food, service and decor. Everything we ordered was delicious: melanzane chips and strati for entrees; osso buco and mercato fish for mains; and profiteroles and cannoli for dessert. Great for a meal or drinks.

Comment: Great service and for the most part great food. They let me order from the vegan dinner menu, which I really appreciated - especially since the menu sounds fantastic. My only real critique is that the Spaghetti Trieste that I ended up ordering was extremely garlicky - perhaps this was an exception to the rule as there really was quite a lot of it. Everyone else at the table loved their food. One of our dishes arrived a bit late compared to the rest, but the staff was apologetic, and very graciously gave us an extra drink free of charge to make up for it.

Comment: Lovely brunch here on a Sunday! Everything about our meal was delicious; we had the green salad and the eggs Benedict. The produce was good quality, generous portions, great flavours. And lovely service too. We will definitely be back.
