Comment: Great place to enjoy an authentic Japanese cuisine!
We had sushi, sashimi, grilled fish and some duck and all of them were so delicious!
The staff showed the perfect service and hospitality. I’ll definitely go back and enjoy the food and atmosphere!

Comment: Definitely one of the best restaurants in Auckland. Wonderful service atmosphere and decor. The yam isobeage is a must try, so unique! Presentation of dishes are just superb and the view of the ocean is magical while eating fresh sushi. I've eaten here over 20 times and will always be loyal to this wonderful place. Great for couples in the booth and fun for groups as there is many choices. Always choose Tokyo Bay for your next night or day out and grab a gold flake sake or ice cold Asahi.

Comment: First time coming here for lunch. We booked for two people and were seated at a comfortable spot inside the restaurant. If you didn't book, you will be seated outside. We ordered 2 bento boxes. The service was outstanding and the food presentation is good. The food tasted good as well, the raw fish dishes was fresh and the grilled salmon was not overcooked. Only thing that can do better was how they cook the red meat (lamb and beef) which I think was well done. Overall nice experience.

Comment: I went to Tokyo bay for our wedding anniversary after reading all the good comments on TripAdvisor and Google, but it turned out this is an average restaurant near Takapuna beach.
Overall I don't recommend this place for the families with babies, since their baby chairs doesn't comes with straps and we had a very hard time keeping our baby seated. Also one of the staff was grumpy when my baby throw chopsticks to the floor. Feel like food was bit overpriced too. We will never go there again.

Comment: Tokyo Bay is the absolute best! My partner and I love this restaurant and it has been one of our favourites for the past 4 years! The staff are so friendly and their food is always amazing! I highly recommend Tokyo Bay.

Comment: My mum and I found this lovely restaurant by chance, the service was great from the moment we walked in, we sat with views of the ocean and of Takapuna beach. We got the mock tail on offer and it was delicious, followed by the tofu, eggplant, yam and the mushroom gyoza. My mum is vegetarian so we ordered all meat free items, but coming from a meat eater, all of the above was delicious!
Highly recommend, great service and will definitely be going back. The price was really reasonable too given the high standard of food and service

Comment: Tokyo Bay is by far one of the best restaurants in New Zealand! I have eaten at many Japanese restaurants in New Zealand and Japan and have to say that Tokyo Bay always has impeccable service, the meals are always of a consistently high standard with fresh ingredients used! The rice is a Japanese brand which makes a huge difference to the meal. Oh and one of the best things about Tokyo Bay are the staff! Always greet you so warmly and look after us whenever we visit. The restaurant is always so clean and has a great outlook over Takapuna bay beach. I highly recommend Tokyo Bay for a lovely lunch or dinner out with your friends, family or a treat for oneself :-) I look forward to going again soon!

Comment: Took my boyfriend here for his birthday, such a nice restaurant, has a nice intimate vibe. All the staff are very friendly and professional. Service is wonderful! The food is divine, chicken is super succulent and soft with a crispy skin. Meat is of a very high quality and is cooked perfectly! Left feeling very full after sharing a starter and having a main each. Would definitely recommend getting some rice, but not necessary. And the ice cream is great too! Definitely recommend to anyone who likes food!!
